A Baby on Earth

Un bébé sur la terre, by Alain Serres and Zaü

This is a cartoon account of a love story, pregnancy, childbirth and a baby’s first months, with a shout-out to all the babies in the world. This baby is Zaü’s first great-granddaughter, and he has been following her progress along with Zazie and Loris, the young parents, and little Charlie, born recently . . . The artist’s images tell of the loving looks, the journey towards motherhood, the birth – of course –, the baths, the breastfeeding and baby’s first steps. For Charlie, but also for all the children born in Asia or Africa at the same time. A delightful slice of life for young and old alike. Welcome to the world, children!

Hardcover picture book, 21 x 29 cm, 96 pages
