Mrs Bear’s House

La maison de l’ourse, by Émilie Vast

Mr. and Mrs. Bear live with Little Bear in a dark, narrow, but very comfortable cave. One day Mrs. Bear wonders at the nice houses of human families: they are big with light rooms and countless treasures. Back home she now finds her house gloomy, cold and plain and, then she describes the wonders she saw to Mr. Bear. He gathers up friends and together they pile up all the things men have left behind in the forest. All the animals start to work hard to make Mrs. Bear’s wish come true: live in a beautiful house like a real lady bear. But will this dream house suit a bear family?
