Redhead

Tout en rousseur, by Raphaële Frier and Aurélia Fronty

A beautiful novel by Raphaële Frier with luminous images by Aurélia Fronty. At the start of the new school year, we follow a boy and a girl as they each make the same discovery: a fox. The two schoolchildren bond over their fascination for the animal. Alex is the local boy and Coline, the pretty redhead, who has been sent to live with her grandmother in the countryside because her mother is unwell. It’s rural life in the raw, with the manure pit, the dangers, the vipers and the hunting and shooting, but it’s kindness that prevails, bringing together two caring children who are anxious to protect a vulnerable fox.

Paperback novel, 14 x 21,5 cm, 112 pages
