Have you ever wondered where dandelions in towns come from? Discover the journey of one of children’s favourite flowers. A young achenium sets off on a journey, carried by the wind. From a meadow, it flies over fields, encounters animals, until it reaches an urban environment. The ground seems less welcoming, but the flight comes to an end. Then the seasons pass, and one day, quite unexpectedly, it begins to stretch… until it becomes a dandelion.

Anne Crausaz’s work centres on stories that introduce young children to the richness of nature. In this book, she takes them on the journey of a seed, drifting aimlessly on the wind. It lets itself be carried by the wind, having to adapt and trust in its own nature.

By presenting the countryside and the city from the seed’s perspective, Anne Crausaz invites us to reflect on the places we live in and the way we view and engage with them.
