How to Make a Book

Pour faire un livre, by Alain Serres and Solenn Larnicol

This simple creation explains all there is to know about how books are made. On one side of this cardboard accordion book you’ll meet all the people involved in the bookmaking process. On the other side you’ll find all the instructions you need to make a book of your own. You will meet all the people involved in the book-making process. Hand in hand, all of them introduce the part they play in this collective work of creating an illustrated book, from the author to the reader! Each of them explains his work with simple words, with supporting illustrations and examples. Young readers will find, on the other side, step-by-step instructions to create a book of their own: writing a story, illustrating, designing the cover, the forwarding process… all the way to distribution!
