Zebedee’s Balloon

Le ballon de Zébulon, by Alice Brière-Haquet and illustrated by Olivier Philipponneau & Raphaële Enjary

Zebedee’s bright red balloon flies away one night, but Zebedee is afraid of the dark. Together with the owl, they enter the forest to look for, and several times think they find it. But each time something else comes up, red too, but it’s not the balloon. They come upon peonies or wild strawberries, and Zedebee is more and more disappointed. However, on his way Zebedee has made new friends and he won’t be scared of the dark anymore.
