Kiwikidiwi, My Good Friend the Platypus

Kiwikidiwi, mon grand ami l’ornithorynque ! by Ariadne Breton-Hourcq and Laurence Lagier

A breakfast between dream and reality, where cuisine and jungle intertwine.

In a house, a child is dreaming in front of his bowl. Suddenly, he puts his foot in the bowl and is plunged into a tropical forest. Among the animals, he meets Kiwikidiwi, a joyful platypus who immediately becomes his friend. Together, they eat, play, run through the trees, fly through the air and swim in circles. A short nap later, the child realises that his friend has disappeared. He looks up, sees the sky rustling with insects and, in the blink of an eye, finds himself back home. Only the surface of the bowl, still animated by slight movements, supports the reality of this journey…

With a text to be read aloud, immerse yourself in the rich, dreamlike world of the two artists.
