When It’s Raining

Quand il pleut, by Junko Nakamura

An episode of rain on a sunny day is told in a child’s voice. The rain starts and wakes him up from his nap. He goes out to observe what kind of events the rain makes happen, and what everyone is doing in the rain. The dog is bored in its house, some birds take shelter among the branches, the earth absorbs the water, and the child tastes the rain. Then the sun starts shining again and everyone – or almost everyone – gets busy again.
