Three Adventures of Till Owlyglass

Till l’Espiègle, by Philippe Lechermeier & Gaëtan Doremus

Till Owlyglass has been wandering from city to city since being made homeless. A real anti-hero, half-traveller, half-vagrant, Till Owlyglass has a knack for getting himself into hot water, and for always emerging unharmed! Till’s charm comes from his ambivalence: is he a lovable fool or is he deliberately impudent? A law unto himself, Till pokes fun at everyone − especially the powerful. These three Till adventures are both fantastic and comical.

Philippe Lechermeier’s rhyming text is beautifully illustrated by Gaëtan Doremus’s lively cast of characters both animal and human, depicted with humour. The authors make the legendary Till Eulenspiegel character their own in this small, cheeky book, whose vivid world is reminiscent of Tomi Ungerer, Rabelais or Wilhelm Busch’s Max and Moritz.
