Into The Woods

Dans la forêt, by Ghislaine Herbéra

Winter is coming and cold days are expected to be harsh. At Nin’s house, there is no more wood and not much food left. One night she hears her parents whispering: “At sunrise, we’re all going to look for wood”. Nin knows this story too well and starts thinking of a plan to prevent the horrible fairy tale ending. The day after, as the family gets deep into the woods, Nin quietly spreads beads on the ground as a means of finding her way back home. Once in the clearing, her parents pretend they need to chop wood and leave the siblings there. But when Nomi gives Nin her beads back, they are in big trouble! Unaware of the danger, the children keep themselves busy, except Nin who is the only one who knows how awful the situation is…
