40 first names and as many short forms on what the poet has read in the eyes of children. A bit of the hidden life of each one, a bit of their doubts or thoughts, and a lot of the whole world… Each text carries within it, like a signature of the life of a girl or boy of today. One can sometimes perceive the harsness of life, exile, a parent’s prison, questions, but also carefreeness or a simple happiness of life that lights up a look.

These poems are accompanied by some poetic portraits, painted in gouache, by Nathalie Novi who has always expressed in her paintings a great closeness to the spirit of childhood.
