Open the Heart’s Eye brings together a selection of short forms drawn from the work of Abdellatif Laâbi. In a small pinch of words, the poet provokes in us a disturbance, a doubt, a wonder. Between aphorisms and haikus, these little bursts of poetry are an invitation to go further into the land of poetry; a land that sometimes speaks other languages, such as Arabic here, each tiny poem being translated under the French text.
