Dachenka, by Karel Capek
Dachenka, the best-known dog from the Czech Republic, has been amusing readers since 1933 with the misadventures of Karel Capek as he attempts to train a little fox terrier. After telling the tale of these exhausting months, the author gives us a lesson in how to photograph young dogs, then dreams up eight short stories in order to keep her calm. The vintage prints by Capek himself, found in his villa, are reproduced for the first time, thanks to the city of Prague.
