A Shelter For The Night

Un abri pour la nuit, by Thibaut Rassat

At the edge of a garden, a tiny explorer crosses paths with a big, shaggy dog. Together, they set off on a long walk, crossing landscapes where the wind makes the wild grass dance and stirs the waves in the distance. As their adventure unfolds, a sincere and moving friendship develops. Each brings to the other what they lack: courage when one is too small to see over the rocks, strength when the other is too tired to go on.

A picture book that accurately addresses the passage of time: growing up, growing old, and how these changes reshape friendship. What at first glance appears to be just a day’s outing becomes a subtle metaphor for life itself.
