From A Little Green Seed

D’une petite graine verte, by Mathias Friman

An exploration of the vegetable kingdom through the life of a little seed that becomes a tree. At first, I was a seed, a tiny little green seed… Swallowed by a bird, the little seed takes off, travels, and is then wrapped up in a little white package, ending up sown. The forest welcomes and protects it, and the little seed becomes a stem, a plantlet… and grows. The life of a seed, which as time and seasons pass, changes names from plant to shrub, and, finally, to tree. All around it, nature follows its course, the sun and the storms, the forest animals, the old slanted tree on which a new sprout is born again.
